Here's the next comic, and we get to see Peganone alive and well. She wants to tell Candesco of her adventures with the other council members, but Candesco wants not to hear of it. He's busy finding Maxo, who has been found by someone else. Click this to go to the comic's archives: Click!Click here to vote for the webcomic: Click!

Hm. I wonder if Candesco wants to offer the possibility of Atonement (the spell) or something like that. He's able to cast Quest as well, so that doesn't seem like that far-fetched.

Come on, Candesco, stop Maxo from doing something else stupid. It didn't work before, but still!

Missing Dialogue:
Would you like a pamphlet about the Queen of Spiders? I'm sure you'll find it very informative....

An Offer You Can't Refuse, from a drow no less...this can't be good! Or can it...

Hey, at least drow are unlikely to be the servants (knowingly or not) of the Aboleths. (If they exist in this setting)
Besides, has it even been confirmed that drow have any association with evil in this setting? (Moreso than any random sapient, I mean)

In this setting, the drow are basically elves with a thing for spiders and live underground. No super chaotic back stabbing society or anything like that. However, I do find the idea of Maxo becoming a priest of Lolth (or the Manjulias equivalent) funny.

So which god is the coming offer going to bid Maxo to follow? If I had to guess, I'd say the god of fire is probably the most likely, Maxo has already shown an affinity for fire and his actions have probably swung his alignment from chaotic good to chaotic neutral. My second guess would be Janusine, if the alignment swing pushed him all the way to evil.

As I said to Grogg in the past, the Dark Elves aren't nearly as evil as the Drow, though they are typically less chaotic and altruistic than the Everwood and Silverfronds Elves. If you want an Elven race that gives the Drow a run for their money in evil, go to Nightwood Forest in the Southern Manjulias continent.

Is that "why did I get involved with them?" thought primarily originating from the fact that he was wiped about the Pendant Keeper affair, such that he doesn't understand his own motivations?

Is that "why did I get involved with them?" thought primarily originating from the fact that he was wiped about the Pendant Keeper affair, such that he doesn't understand his own motivations? Actually Merla didn't alter anything to do with Maxo or Candesco's memory. They didn't even know Julie was the Pendant Keeper as Julie never told them. The only people who knew of Julie's Pendant Keeper quest were Randi, Simonicus, Peganone, Merla and Tegretol.
