I've got another comic done. Yay. King Tegretol teleported his circle of buddies to Everwood where they'll be safe...and able to hear some exposition from the King. Maxo also lost his divine connection to Nehhilio, which I'm sure many people saw coming. Click here to go to the comic's archives: Click!Click here to vote for the webcomic: Click!

Haha, finally wiped that intolerable permanent smile off of Nehelio's face. Is that David Schwimmer? I always thought the moon was Bea Arthur.
So the castle is acquainted with the demon. Wow. That short T-shirt kind of makes him look like a little boy.
Is this is the first time Grimilar has been mentioned in-comic? He's the chaotic evil main god, right?
I think "invested interest" could better be stated as "a vested interest".

So, Maxo, you have three choices here regarding your powers. Sulk and accomplish nothing, try to regain Nehelio's favour, or jump ship to another deity. What choice will you make?
Bit confused by the timing here. "It wasn't supposed to be released for another 600 years" and "have to deal with this monstrosity 450 years earlier than the seal would've lasted". Is it meant to be that the seal would have lasted 600 years from when it was applied, 150 years have passed, and it was meant to last another 450 years? Or it was applied some unstated time ago, the seal was designed to end in 600 years from the current date, but it would have failed 150 years earlier than that?

I interpreted events as -- 150 years ago, Tegretol's daddy put a 600-year seal on Morty. The Demon Lord should have had another 450 years of imprisonment, but the seal has been broken today. I just wonder where Tegretol's dad is at now... Also, someone photoshopped Nehhilio's smile upside-down, haha!

The sun definitely looks like David Schwimmer, but a close resemblence is all it is. I think invested also works, as they have invested a lot of time and energy into the continued existence of this abomination. Or it was applied some unstated time ago, the seal was designed to end in 600 years from the current date, but it would have failed 150 years earlier than that? Considering how difficult the situation has become, any of those three choices seem like fair ideas. The 1st and 3rd choice are both a great deal easier than the second, though the second choice is the one Maxo probably should make. Maxo hasn't been shown to be the most responsible of people though. Great Dane is correct here in that the seal itself lasts 600 years. It's been 150 years since the seal was created, so there is 450 years left on it. Too bad a chain of seemingly random occurances has had the demon unsealed a bit earlier than that.

Well, looking through the pantheon page, I don't know if there's any deities there that would be compatible with Maxo at the moment. He doesn't seem the type to want to start always doing evil, and if Nehelio doesn't want him at the moment, there doesn't seem to be any others that would overlook the demon release. Of course, deities can be very strange sometimes, so who knows there. 1st option is what I think Maxo will go with unless he's told that the 2nd would be best for him.

Who is the "Ms. Meng" character? Not really understanding how she got into the story and what her role is. Can we get a profile on her for the characters page?

Sorry, had to deep dive into the archive to find a previous instance of the character's appearance. The character I am referring to is "Paula Meng" the female dating Jason Moriatos. We saw her once during the magical research facility segment and she was named there, but it wasn't apparent until recent scenes in the castle that she was actually a significant character. Seemed to have come from nowhere to be part of the Empire inner circle and that's got me confused.

Paula's actually dating Ron Wallace, but I could see the confusion as they look fairly similar and are similarly laid back...and also because I've got more bloody characters in this story than a Roland Emmerich movie. I know I'm going to be doing an overhaul of the character pages when I'm finished volume 3 of the comic (not too long off from now, I think there's only about 40-50 pages left max.) A bunch of new characters are going to be added, and existing ones will be updated.

Thanks for the response, and I'm looking forward to the new character pages. Also, don't know the significance of Ron Wallace either so I guess some background on him would be good as well.

There are couple of head-scratchers in there like Pauline's Dudes or the various Angelo's Kids that the party killed.
