I've got another comic done. We find out Angelo isn't going to devour Janice's soul after all, mapping out a potentially worse fate for her since they have her soul. They find out what happened in Silverfronds in regards to the potential Demon and have a little meeting on what to do about this. Now this could be interesting... especially if Mortaridar is strong enough to pose a major threat to Angelo and co.
I mean, judging from what Mortaridar said he got Cleric levels over those years he was imprisoned (implying Miracle isn't one of his spell-like abilities due to him casting it as a spell). So that makes him most likely an Epic-level Demon Prince with 17+ levels of Cleric as well.

It was too much to hope that our villains would start offing their team mates. Having the Souballo Empire and Angelo's Kids trying to contain Mortaridar might keep them occupied long enough for our heroes to make progress. Also, what if Janice is actually level 18 and will still be 17 when resurrected? Why is Angelo's halo blue in the first three panels? Thanks Rogonandi!

Oh...Angelo EATS the souls? I thought he just kept them because he was creepy. Maybe that's Eva Wilson's soul. Poor girl. Does he gain levels or XP from eating the souls? What does he get?
And Janice isn't dead? You can just shove a soul into a clone without consent? I guess that's good, I liked Janice.
By the way, is it JAN-iss or Ja-NEECE?
Why does Angelo not want anyone to have 9th level spells? So nobody can cast Wish? And the non-spellcasting people don't get anything special at 17th level, do they? I don't really know this edition's rules very well.
All right...evil vs. evil. The overpowered bad guys vs. a demon prince. This should be good. I always love this kind of thing.

I considered his halo part of the background when they were doing their telepathy speech. I inverted the colors of the background and that turned the halo blue.

Yanno, Morty, I had a lotta respec' for yaz. Ya know, Miracle dat Elf city inta de ground, take yer own plot a' land, dat sorta t'ing. But dat respec', man, it gets all tossed inna dumpster when ya start goin' on about yer genital ailments. C'mon, man, nobody wants ta hear 'bout dose. Pack it in, you're done.
Brian's right, Angelo. You shouldn't be eating those things raw. Bake them into soul cakes, that'll work much better.
