About a week ago I came across a very old but cute show known as Gomer Pyle: USMC. It's about a soldier who's kind but derpy, and the show itself has many many many things I consider homosexual subtext. It was probably not intentional (as homosexuality in the 60's was very taboo), but still it inspired me to think of an affectionate parody of the show in webcomic form. It loosely follows the premise of the original show, but there are some new elements added to it. The most notable element is a disinterested young Marine who transfers into the South Californian camp who manages to influence the lives of many around him. This comic (if I continue with it) is going to have homosexual content in it, so there's your warning up front and center. What do you folks think?

It came out in the 60s! That really makes me feel old. I hope that your new character doesn't become a fixer sue.
