I am almost certain these questions have been answered elsewhere but I can't find them so just all my questions at once.
1) One of the interesting thing about OLA is that it kinda assumes you know the world, like from when the story starts everybody in it mostly acts like a lot of information we don't have is common knowledge, like what is happening with the CN/LN gods, the nature of the Planar Wars, why there is an extra evil god, the empire, how Angelo's kids became a thing, lifestream, the nature of the gods, the nature of the Exemplars in this world, or even our heroes past. There is this kinda humanist realism going on in the comic where the characters all know this information and don't say it. I heard that the comic came about in order to promote a campaign setting so there isn't really an "introduction" as it were, is this going to be the same? Or is it going to be more of a conventional narrative.
I like both ideas, though I personally lean slightly towards the former, I like the comics kinda "this is just the world, pick it up as you go along" approach, it feels very organic
2) What exactly are the mechanics of the game? I get the impression its gonna be a kinda final fantasy like turn based game, will the D&D rule set play a part in its mechanics like in Baldur's Gate or is it going to be more abstracted.
3) I know we aren't playing the OLA team, is it going to be involved in the main storyline at all or is it going to be set earlier, or just another part of the world at the same time? Are these story lines going to intersect?
4) Will the game be free, cost money, or like a recommended payment structure.
5) Is there going to be a set of difference between D&D proper and OLA world, like Kobolds, Gnomes, and how outsiders work, or is it going to be more "pick it up as you go" that the comic has? Critically, if I am really into the world of OLA do I need to get the game to understand it
6) Do you make up your protagonist or do you start with one?
7) Can i pick up companions and most importantly can I date them to get special powers and abilities. These are important questions
8) If the world of Manjulias is flat, is there another side to the world? Maybe connected by the underdark?
9) Is there going to be a more table top style campaign book for Majula at any point? Because legit this is one of the more creative settings out there
Thanks
