I've got another comic done. I can only imagine how mortified Jordie will be once the others start praising him for popping his 'kill-cherry.' Click here to go to the comic's archives: Click!Click here to vote for the webcomic: Click!Character sheets have been updated too. It includes Harvey's level up, Terrado's updated page, and these 4 new characters: Click!

Morty is pretty close to its name I suppose.

I love getting to the level where "It's okay, he's just dead right now!" is something you can say.

Hey, Jordie, if you're going to be throwing around evocations around people you don't actually want to kill, I suggest making sure that they're inflicting nonlethal damage. The Merciful metamagic feat is good for this. (Available in feat and metamagic rod forms!)
Anyone else who wants to tone down their lethality could go for merciful enchantments on their weapons. Or a feat that removes the penalty to inflict nonlethal damage with a lethal weapon (not really an option for rogues, though). Or pick up a nonlethal backup? weapon like a sap.
If you don't want to kill people there really are a lot of things that can be done to increase the odds of your opponents surviving the fight without significantly decreasing your own attack power.

If something is important to them they'll put in however much effort is needed without compromising on things they like more.

I do like it when characters go with their gut on these things, however much it makes the munchkin in me twitch. I love getting to the level where "It's okay, he's just dead right now!" is something you can say. Raise Dead is a fun spell, I must say. Raise Dead, Create Greater Undead, Mind Switch, Magic Jar, it's all in the attitude...

Perhaps Jordie was hoping that Brett's evasion ability would kick in and he'd avoid the Flame Strike spell. Sure Brett isn't completely a rogue, but his reflex save was pretty decent.

Im actually surprised that the dwarf survived. He took a sneak attack from rocky, an arrow from a composite longbow, two stabs from an enchanted rapier, a flame strike to the face, two more stabs, and piercing remarks from julie.
