Silly Angelika, Seeing dead friends again is never impossible when you're in DnD Land. Great fight and Great Book 3, rogonandi! It gets a bit more difficult when you didn't want to come back to life the first time resurrection was tried due to wanting to stay dead and then your body was turned to ash. Woo! It's Pauline and her Dudes! Blonde dude looks to be a bard, Brown hair dude is maybe a cleric (Wally?), Dark skin dude is probably a rogue or ranger, Black hair dude is the other (ranger or rogue), and Pauline's still Pauline. Was that a Chaos Hammer spell btw?

I didn't see that coming. Great reveal.
chronos12, memnarch: Yeah, we're looking at at least 7th-level magic, 9th if they couldn't get a piece of ash (very plausible). That's not impossible (we've seen some people who can do that), but it's still pretty unlikely, especially since Pauline didn't want to come back.
Granted, Stratus visited to help change her mind, but Angelika doesn't know about that.

Yup, Chaos Hammer. Though Evil Sarbek Elf made his save to resist the full damage and slow effect, he still took enough damage to lose his spell due to not making the concentration DC. He took more damage from Wally's (dark skinned dude) sneak attack though. When it comes to who trolled that Sarbek Elf better, I guess it depends on which thing was more annoying to deal with. I didn't see that coming. Great reveal. chronos12, memnarch: Yeah, we're looking at at least 7th-level magic, 9th if they couldn't get a piece of ash (very plausible). Granted, Stratus visited to help change her mind, but Angelika doesn't know about that. That's right. I'm sure that Angelika will come to learn that the Manjulias world exists outside of her and who she immediately knows in her life.

AWESOME! I'd actually come up with a fan-theory that Pauline had been forcibly resurrected/brainwashed by the Empire, but I am so happy that it looks like I was wrong ... In my defense, Janice's character page did mention that the Empire was working on the "reconstruction" of souls.

Does this mean...updated character sheets!?!?!?! Yes it does, in fact I'm working on some of them right now. Yay Paula! I look forward to seeing what happened to bring her back. If you don't want to be spoiled for the explanation, it will tell what happened to her in her character sheet when I'm finished working on them. Nooo! That's not true! That's IMPOSSIBLE! Thanks Rogonandi! No problem.

I just realized this while looking at some old strips. In Strip 125 panel 9, Pauline says, as they are discussing going through the Rosaro Underground Highway, that the worst that can happen is "one of us'll go MIA and show up later in a dramatic plot twist" and that's pretty much exactly what happened! Okay, technically she died, but they also reference the Mines of Moria, which is of course where Gandalf died, only to show up later. I have no idea if this was planned or not, but I'm going to go with "genius".
