I've got another comic done, and now we're seeing the next little chunk of the adventures of Umbria and the gang. They're now within the Silverfronds city limits, and we see Kergak is still clutching onto that damned shield. We also come across a group of imperials, including someone Umbria has met awhile ago. He seems to be doing well for himself. Click here to go to the comic's archives: Click!Click here to vote for the webcomic: Click!

My race devises such things or despises such things?
And a cursed ego shield? Wow, Kergak has a lot of fun coming up. I wonder what accessories compliment a shield's beauty best.

I'm wondering if the shield is just sentient (and cursed/evil) or a polymorphed baddie just waiting to spring upon this group.

Why assume it's evil? It could be a good/chaotic-aligned trap instead. After all, it WAS left behind on a battlefield that had a bunch of chaotic or good people on it.

Well it isn't chaotic because Trevoricus didn't pick up a chaotic aura coming from it. What, chaotic people aren't competent enough to hide the chaotic component of a trap against people who would specifically look for it? Fairly sure that there are at least a few means of concealing the alignment of a magical item. If nothing else, instead of having the shield itself be a chaotic-aligned trap, have the shield teleport in the chaotic-aligned trap.

Man, you must play some pretty screwed-up games of D&D. That is some serious munchkin-level stuff right there.
