I've got another one up, and now we get to see a little update on how the Everwood crew, Denise and Slammy are doing in the Souballo airship. They've made their way to the 'boss room' as Randi so elegantly put it. Perhaps we may be seeing some kind of climactic battle between two sides that are equally matched for once. Might be good to have some differently-colored borders for the next few strips? The last row almost makes it look like the second and third to last panels are one panel...

Is Exillon teleporting around the room, or are there multiple copies of the tetraedecaedus in the room? I translate 5th-to-last as "What?" or "Huh?", 3rd-to-last as "Stop", 2nd-to-last as "Turn around now, your last warning" as he points to the door. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
In any case, this little guy has been my favorite character in the comic because he's so dang mysterious. Seeing this strip makes me wonder - does each shape represent a different personality? Or might each shape represent a different god in the pantheon?

He just disconnected himself from the computer and went to see his intruders. Each shape that surrounds him is actually a crystal that's part of himself. They each hold a psionic power he can use as a beam which he can use at will. We'll see what those powers are very soon (As in the ensuing battle.)

By the way, I forgot to ask this earlier. About Lenny, are you going to do a equal parts fighter/ranger hybrid? Are you thinking about him getting the disrupter, spell breaker, & mage slayer feats?

This isn't really an "optimized character build" comic. It's like OOTS, the characters aren't Earth-human-controlled PCs, they're real people with their own minds in a world that happens to be controlled by D&D rules. So they're going to have all the flaws and problems that people would have. Belkar Bitterleaf doesn't even have the track feat. In fact, if the comic did nerd out and start obsessing over character builds, I'd probably stop reading.
And it is just spectacular to get regular updates again! It's been a long, hot summer. Hurray! Each comic is better than the last and I can't wait to see what happens next. We've never seen Exillon get dangerous so I'm looking forward to witnessing the full power of this fully operational Lawful Neutral construct.

Is this where the DnD comic does a genre shift to a bullet hell game?

By the way, I forgot to ask this earlier. About Lenny, are you going to do a equal parts fighter/ranger hybrid? Are you thinking about him getting the disrupter, spell breaker, & mage slayer feats? No, not really. The reason Lenny took a few levels in Ranger was because he wanted the skills needed to help his team get by in the great outdoors. They spend a lot of time in the great outdoors. Lately I've been quite inspired, which is weird considering how brutal my real-life job has been on me lately. The hotel's been busy as the dickens. Is this where the DnD comic does a genre shift to a bullet hell game? No, but a good idea's a good idea.

In looking a little closer, now I do see the bar between the 3rd and 2nd to last panels. Without the bar, it made me think Exillon was behind the angel. Lightbulb!

I hope the female outsider in this strip keeps popping up from time to time in the future. I like her Max Nonchalance attitude. Denise is her name?

*stage whispers* Pst, Exillon's interface thing isn't a tetradecagon. It's just a decagon. He needs a few more floating doodads to get the remaining 4 vertices.

Yes it is, and I think she's pretty cool too. *stage whispers* Pst, Exillon's interface thing isn't a tetradecagon. It's just a decagon. He needs a few more floating doodads to get the remaining 4 vertices. I'm actually talking about Exillon himself. He's got 14 sides to him.
