Here's another comic on the next day. Yay. Though Percy the Planetar was kicked out of Manjulias, he was able to return to the castle pretty much instantly via a gate spell. Why he didn't go to Ultiva's side is a bit beyond me, though maybe this area of the castle was more memorable to him. We also see Candesco has be resurrected! Perhaps the Silverfronds crew may yet win the day once they've assembled themselves. Click here to go to the comic's archives: Click!Click here to vote for the webcomic: Click!

Still think that "winning" isn't in the cards for Team Chaotic/Good. It seems improbable that they'd be able to capture most of their opponents. Killing them or driving them off could readily be feasible, though. Still, neither inflicts all that much damage to Team Lawful Evil. Though Team Lawful Evil's arrogance in encouraging them to rally the troops should, hopefully, really bite them in the ass. Anyway, best of luck not losing, Team Chaotic/Good! As always, thanks for the comics.

Yeah, that's great...told her directly to her face, LOL. But I think Candesco came back wrong. His thirst for blood is something new and he has those scary beetle Elven anime eyes. Oh, and the sharp fangs. I look forward to seeing what special powers the halfling pulls out in battle. He's a fighter, right? Ah, I get it now...the elf made her saving throw against turn to stone. I didn't really put two and two together there. Nitpick: there's one fewer problem to deal with. Less is for uncountable, fewer is for countable. The more you know!

Maxo's a Cleric who is at least able to cast Resurrection, so he's going to be at least as powerful as the other big Silverfronds players. Candesco has always had fangs, we've seen them when we first met him on the beach with Angelika... ...The eyes and attitude however, are not normal.

Damn it would have really helped them to get a solar on there team for this fight. That kind of power can at the very least give them a seriously major power to face them.
Although I'm worried that Sun Cleric might have used his wish for a free resurrection and may end up regretting it.
Edit: Also it seems that Brian either is really unlucky on enemy saves or his spell have less hardcore spell DC's then one would expect.

Why was the elf singing and dancing? Did the prismatic spray turn him insane?

I'm confused. Is Percy the original.. creature who Stratus summoned for something or other long ago, and resummoned and made a bargain with this time?
I was thinking that one was female, but this one seems to be male. Plus not as tall. Or do we have more than one green skinned outsider with butterfly wings... fluttering about?

Nevermind, looked it up. Different outsider, with yellowish skin. Has same butterfly wings though.

In panels 5 and 6, the outsider's speech bubbles are miscolored.
Also, going to go ahead and say that Maxo's wish talk with that demon is what did this to Candesco.

Thanks for catching that, I fixed it. Also, let's hope Candesco wasn't resurrected that way...it certainly wouldn't look good in the presence of Angels.

I was just taking a look to see if you had a new strip up.
Reread this one, and was struck by a thought.
I know you are tired of hearing this, but come on. You've got a situation where people have summoned Planetar's for god's sake, to have some quick muscle for a fight they knew was coming.
Just like the rules let them.
So how do guys like Rocky and Lenny fit into all this? Other than plot manipulation they don't. Lenny could be 20th level, and he wouldn't have much useful to contribute to any of these fights, unlike a level 11 wizard like Peganone.
If this were a campaign I was running, it'd be about now the artifact weapon popped up for Lenny. When you start seeing casual teleportation (again just like the rules allow for), it's time to up the ante for the muggle classes.

When you start seeing casual teleportation (again just like the rules allow for), it's time to up the ante for the muggle classes. Rocky and Lenny are important because Quizmalia has chosen their group to search for the Magicant. We know that she both helps their team and puts the obstacles in their path, the quest is a game for her, or a test for Julie & co, or both...so sending more powerful people wouldn't necessarily make it easier of faster to find the Magicant (Quizmalia would probably up the game). But in their world yes, a magic user is way more powerful and resourceful than a non-magic user... And it's kinda justified...it is MAGIC, as in, something that allows you do things that you could not do through mundane means. In a game it sucks when the players aren't balanced, but this is a comic, and in a comic the characters don't need to be balanced, there can be Dr. Stranges side by side to Hawkeyes.
