Would it be possible to get a link on each character's character sheet that links us to their first appearance? Maybe even some of the more important plot points hidden under a spoiler tag? It would be nice to jump back to when someone was first introduced without having to dig through the entire archive.
I agree with both these ideas, and I also think there could be reference links. For example, we could have...
Emily is a wizard who studied at the Everwood Magical University. However, an incident happened at the school and the faculty sent Emily away on a field mission. Everwood was where Rocky, Lenny and Angelika met her, and Angelika took an instant dislike to her.
Rocky and Angelika encountered Emily at a hotel in Llanadario, finding out she had been sent on this strange fungus mission. Rocky took the time to catch up with her and managed to convince her to join the group, insisting her wizard powers would be of great help.
Emily is as pleasant as she needs to be, but social skills aren't high priority for her. The more that was learned about Emily, the less pleasant a person she turned out to be. She has a prejudice against Elves which surfaced from time to time.
Emily revealed that she wanted the Magicant to bring certain types of extinct fungus back to life. A strange goal, but it seemed pretty non threatening.
There is more to Emily than meets the eye. Something very strange happened while Norveg was keeping her company. This strangeness manifested itself when the group defeated Coumadin and his troops and claimed the magicant, and she turned into some kind of humanoid monster. The reasons for this are still a mystery.
But that may be a bit excessive, I admit. I'd like to see first appearance links, although there is the problem with editing older bios and such.
We should have a database showing all strips the characters appeared in.
I kind of want it to be like the Marvel Database wiki. On the character sheets, they show how many times the characters have appeared, and if you click the link, it will show all the episodes. Although I think we should make our own wiki, I hate wikia.
Well, that would be a problem with characters like Julie and Lenny, who would have hundreds and hundreds of episodes listed, but that does sound like a good idea. I also like the wiki idea, and if someone created it, I'd definitely be an active contributor, but I wouldn't be able to be much help in the creation process if we wanted to build our own.
A recent study shows that if you say "a recent study shows" before saying something completely ridiculous, nobody will catch on.
