Here's the next comic. Angelo finds out Sophia has been detained in the Kingdom of Justice, though he does find out how to get her back...but will it work? He's already shelled out 1000 EXP for that divination spell, is he ready to shell out 5000 more? Click here to go to the comic's archives: Click!Click here to vote for the webcomic: Click!

I would think that that Miracle, if granted, would be seriously risking an open planar war and thus not something that said deity would be inclined to grant. Also, something I consider interesting: He never bothered to confirm that if Brian and/or Angelo were present the airship's destruction could be averted. Unless he had previously established that, it's just an assumption. Granted, this seems like a pretty fair assumption given how ludicrously broken they are, but the attackers might have some means of bypassing the defenses. Also, attackers might use divinations of their own that lead them to do something else and thus completely ruin the modified plans. Or they might decide to be chaotic about it and change things up spontaneously and ruin it that way. Assuming free will exists, of course. As always, thanks for the comic. And I agree, Angelo's expressions are quite comical.

Oh bloody hell, why doesn't the entire plane just bow down to the most powerful caster if they can just spam cheating like that? Grumble grumble stupid exponential power growth for casters grumble grumble broken jerks all deserve a greatsword to the face grumble grumble.

Yeah, heh, heh, heh. Good old D&D rules. Get a mystic theurge (a munchkin class anyway), pump him up to 20th level, and see what happens. Major plot obstacles instantly whisked away with multiple castings of divination and wish. Good times. XP cost? Who the hell cares, we're 20th level!

That's what Brian and Angelo are expecting, but some people on the plane have this odd thing called 'hope.' Yeah, heh, heh, heh. Good old D&D rules. I don't think the powers of the KoJ would go to war over jailbreaking one soul. I'm interested to see how he words the Miracle request. And what the good news Brian has. And the good neutral judge does have a sense of humor after all! Now that I think about it, why had he summoned a LN power instead of a LE power that he's more closely aligned with?

One very subtle hint is that we're finally going to see what Exillion can do. He IS my favorite character, after all!! He kind of reminds me of Judge Daethros's lil' robot buddy with all the answers...coincidence or no?
Finally, and this could very well be plot-breaking -- WHY DOES ANGELO HAVE TWO DIFFERENT-SIZED BOOTS?!

I'm more concerned how he has a short sleeve on his right arm in one scene and on his left arm the next. I invoked the Ambidextrous Sprite trope with Angelo and his followers...it's been like that forever.

Wasn't the LN Outsider's name Daethros in the last comic? It was Draethos in this one.

You should give Rocky prestige classes in shadow dancer and either assassin or spymaster from Pathfinder. And give Angelika prestige classes in red dragon disciple. That would be awesome!

You know, if I were the admins of G.E.A.R.S. or whoever Angelo's praying to, I'd grant the "Miracle," in the form of an outsider informant who knows a back way into the Kingdom of Justice... for a price. >
