Is there going to be a Manjulias Campaign style RPG coming out? The comic has this unusual (not bad) effect of feeling like the world has a lot of established lore that we aren't being informed/were introduced too. Which again isn't bad, i'm just eager to see what is going on.

The comic has this unusual (not bad) effect of feeling like the world has a lot of established lore that we aren't being informed/were introduced too. Which again isn't bad, i'm just eager to see what is going on. The RPG game I'm working on takes place in the Manjulias universe and does talk about the lore of the world in relation to the story that I've thought up in regards to it. It doesn't use any of the D&D stuff though aside from many of the monsters (which those are taken from real-life folklore and Tolkien anyway.) The mechanics of the game is more akin to a hybrid of Final Fantasy and Paper Mario. The abilities a character can gain are from 'Emblems' which allow use of the ability when equipped and if enough Emblem Points are gained through fights the abilities become permanent. I could always just tell more about Manjulias lore via the website in time anyway. A published D20 Manjulias campaign could be quite nice to have, but I'm not sure what's involved with the publishing process and I don't have any of them thar fancy-pants connections with Wizards of The Coast.

Well I'm still going to be creating the comic until I'm either dead, homeless on the streets, or the comic itself is finished. I've got no intention of stopping, even if I'm not updating as much as I used to. Manjulias is by far my favorite world to write about, style similarities to OOTS aside (in the comic anyway.) This is my hobby. It's very heartening to hear that people care about this comic, and inspiring as well. Hey, even if this wasn't the only game in town(besides OotS itself), it's still a really, really good comic.

Is my comic the only OoTS-inspired comic that's still going? Also, thank you...and I'm also working on the next page right now. I may have it finished by either 6am today or 6am tomorrow.

The only other one, Murphy's Law, is on hiatus due to the author being busy with veterinarian school *and* DMing two games at the same time.

Is my comic the only OoTS-inspired comic that's still going? Only one that I know of, ever since the epic fail of Anti-Heroes. That trainwreck was marked by increasingly rare updates up to the point where the authors just stopped caring entirely. You can review the record here: antiheroescomic.com/comic/indexNotice how the number of strips and frequency of updates gets slower and slower over time. Anybody who had been following that story got a big ol' heap of disappointment in their Christmas stockings that year. I've spent many years following many online comics (my OotS username will be a full decade old in November) and I've learned the hard way that when an online comic starts putting out less than 3 updates a month it's a clear sign that the author has lost interest and the story will never be completed. Needless to say, my alert antennae have gone way up on the update schedule here. Just do us the favor, if you lose interest publish the ending of the story before you wrap it up.

I was reading anti-HEROES as well. I think one of the reasons why the creator stopped working on it was because he was getting a fair bit of hatemail in the replies. That can't be very encouraging to the creator either. I will publish the end of the comic if I ever lose interest in it, but I'm not going to be losing interest in it. Manjulias is my world, and I've already created this world pretty much completely. Even if I don't ever become famous in the way Mr. Burlew has with his webcomic, I'll still be working on it even if my present viewers lose interest...after all, creativity helps me pass the time until I die.

TITLE DROP!
Oh, by the way... I think there was a webcomic called Well, That Was Unexpected, but that's not totally based on D&D; it has WH40K stuff too. And there's also Goblins by Thunt, and Rusty and Co.(I forget the author's name) And there's Murphy's Law, though it's on hiatus.
However, you're the only purely OotS-inspired comic left that isn't on hiatus, at least for now.

You are awesome!
I just discovered your comic and it rules. And yes, I cannot help but doing what everybody did and compare it with Order of the Stick, and seriously, you are much better than OOTS (I think at that stage we can say that OOTS is the Simpsons of webcomics!)
When will you update again? Sorry if I'm annoying.

OOTS updates frequently now but ceased to have any semblance of quality a long time ago. It's like the Simpsons indeed, a mere zombie of what it used to be! But whatever, my point was not to bash another webcomic Just saying I love OLA and I was worrying the author stopped updating. Thanks for the info!

When will you update again? Sorry if I'm annoying. I personally don't think this comic is any better than OOTS, as Mr. Burlew seems to have a much more outlined plan of what he's going to be doing with his comic. Since the third book, I've essentially just been going with whatever ends up happening with how the dice are being thrown. Quite a few of the events from "Forward we March" and "The Planar Illness" I never even foresaw happening. I'll be updating more frequently again when I'm not working quite so much at my day job. This summer has been really busy for the hotel and that's been leaving me absolutely exhausted each night. It's getting a little better now that it's after labor day, so I'm expecting to have a bit more energy. OOTS updates frequently now but ceased to have any semblance of quality a long time ago. Thanks for the info! I still think Order of The Stick's very good. Personally I think the Durkon Storyline is more interesting than the one that was centered around Elan's family.
