Did Julie and Rocky get level-drained by the wights? their hair looks gray in the subsequent panels. If so, thats 3 Restorations Jordie needs to prep. Yup, their hair got greyed some from a drained level each. If either of them fail their fort save the next day at the time they were level drained they do indeed lose a character level and Jordie will have to restore that. Since they both only lost 1 level Jordie'll only need to prepare it once for each of them. However, these were just normal Wights so the save to avoid level loss isn't terribly difficult even for Rogues and Bards. I think the DC is 14 or 15 at most.

The srd has the DC at 14, but with a fort save of +4 or so for both of them, that works out to be about a 50:50 chance. I wouldn't want to risk that if I was them.

I just now realized that the subtext of this comic is how useless Harvey is without blasting spells. He has some protection to cast in the first 2 fights but runs out quickly. Seeing as none of the opponents are spellcasters that Harvey can counter, he quickly becomes a dead weight. Funny, but I like how it shows a character that is viable in Manjulias, not just in the standard D&D combat encounter. And Harvey only THOUGHT "what else can go wrong". He didn't even say it! Geez that's harsh. Especially considering the comic's creator put words in his mouth.
