New comic's up. Ultiva's still pretty pissed at Maxo for endangering the plane, but Candesco reveals a bit on what he went through to get Maxo's divine powers back. It's interesting how a True Neutral person's better at demonstrating forgiveness than someone who is empowered by the forces of good. Candesco went to such an extreme that I wonder if he doesn't have some ulterior motive.
What on Manjulias is that moon-coin? It looks like something that Mario would collect by jumping. What is it possibly for? How did Candesco end up with it?
What are Maxo's cool new spells going to be?

What is it possibly for? How did Candesco end up with it? What are Maxo's cool new spells going to be? Candesco could have an ulterior motive for doing this, but one of the beautiful things about True Neutral people is that their motives aren't usually all that grandiose. The reason he went to all this trouble may simply be to recruit another powerful Cleric over to his religion. That giant moon-coin is a religious object used by Moon Clerics to perform various rituals. There are nicer looking ones than that, but it was probably the best Candesco could get at a magic/spiritual item store on short notice, in the middle of the night. Just check out the water domain on the Dungeons and Dragons Wiki to see what spells Maxo has access to now. His other domain didn't change, because he was using the Travel domain from Nehhilio's portfolio. The Travel domain is also available from his sister goddess, and Candesco was using it for one of his domains.

The ulterior motive could also simply be "I like living, and my odds of continuing to do so go up significantly if there's another person on my side, especially if that person can cast healing and resurrection magic".
Really, anyone can have an ulterior motive, and I think "For (alignment!)" reasons are pretty flat and boring. People who are Good usually help people not because they want to make Good the dominant force in the universe, but because they believe in that principle of Goodness and thus act on it. (Or they believe that the rewards of following that tenant are worth it, such as decreasing disease in the area, encouraging people to like them more, etc for said person doing Good. Feel free to replace the alignment, and (some) of the resulting rewards of it as desired)
On a sidenote... is this all taking place on a full material plane + associated planes, or is it actually a series of linked demiplanes?

And to get all those other clerics off his back. What kind of duties does Trilanna have in the Silverfronds government? She's obviously a queen-regnant, and not just Tegretol's consort. Thanks Rogonandi!

Thanks Rogonandi! Trilanna's duties are to run and oversee the Everwood City Council, and to use her magical powers to keep the city safe and the citizens as protected and content as possible. Trilanna is also the acting leader of the Everwood Elven Tribe, one of the four main Elven tribes on Manjulias.

That makes a lot more sense.

Now we see the violence inherent in... wait, there's no violence in this episode. Shouldn't somebody be casting meteor swarm?

Is Handsome Jack a parody of Smiling Jack from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines?

Is Handsome Jack a parody of Smiling Jack from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines? No, I've actually never played the game (I looked the title up via google.) Handsome Jack is actually a character that one of my old players created which I got permission to use for the comic. Back when I was DMing dungeons and dragons games using Manjulias as a campaign setting, Jack was part of an adventure I set up.
